Budapest
Parliament Building and the Danube

Budapest

Spa town, straddling the River Danube. Buda, the historic town with its Royal Castle (home of the Habsburg representatives), majestically overlooking the left bank, linked by the famous Chain Bridge, to Pest. Budapest was formed in 1872 but the origins of the city go way back to the Roman Empire (remains of the Roman Garrison can still be seen at Obuda). Musically dynamic and diverse: famous as the birthplace of Bartók, Erkel, Lehár, & Liszt. Please click for details of the Hungarian State Opera House.
3 Day Tour Price from £399 per person
Includes: two nights accommodation with breakfast and taxes, top-category seat for one performance, opera synopsis, restaurant recommendations and city map.
Flights are not included but lowest fares can be sourced and booked.
